Experience Counts
Heather B. Dehnel, Owner

Event Planning 911 is owned by Heather (Jones) Dehnel, and she is the company's primary event
planner. Over the past 15 years, she has planned private, corporate and fundraising events for
companies, non-profit organizations, friends and family. Now you can benefit from her planning,
coordinating and facilitating experience at your next event.

A Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, native, Heather graduated from E.L. Meyers High School. She earned
a B.A. in Communications from Penn State University, where she attended both the Wilkes-Barre and
University Park campuses.

During her days at Penn State, Heather planned events such as Battle of the Bands, Holiday at
Hayfield formal dinner/dance and fundraising events for "THON". "I gained valuable experience at
Penn State. I learned how to get the most for our small budgets. It's made me very budget minded and
resourceful as an events planner," said Heather.

Professionally, she has planned events for the Navy Exchange Service Command in Virginia Beach,
VA, and Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises, Inc.(CTE), Dallas, PA, such as company picnics,
book signings, retirement parties, employee and shareholder meetings. "Working for the United
States Navy was an opportunity to learn so much about the military and its protocol," said Heather.
"The best part of working for both the Navy and CTE was doing events that showed the employees
and the customers that they were valued."

Also, Heather was the bridal consultant at the Wyoming Valley Mall Bon Ton. "One of the reasons I
love what I do, is getting to work with perspective brides and grooms. When I worked at the Bon Ton,
it was so much fun to help couples plan the interiors of their future homes. Now, I am so lucky to have
the opportunity to help couples plan for their weddings," Heather said.

"It seems like I have always been the one throwing the really great parties, and now I have the
fabulous job of helping other people throw really great parties. As far as I'm concerned, you can't beat
that," said Heather.
